A Taste of Beekeeping 

1-day introductory course in beekeeping.

This course is designed to give those who are considering keeping bees some information and demonstrations on the process of beekeeping. 

Date - 9th July 2011

Time - 10am - 4pm 

Tutor - Denis Ryan.  Experienced beekeeper & currently president of the Federation of Irish Beekeepers' Association

Venue - Kilmaneen Farmhouse, Newcastle, Clonmel. Co. Tipperary

Course fee - 75 euro per person which includes light lunch and refreshments 
plus  
Membership of Irish Beekeepers' Association (1 year) - 35 euro per person. 

What to wear - wellies and long-sleeved top. Full bee-suits and gloves provided. 

Caution! If you are, or think you may be, allergic to bee stings please do not attend the course.

Weather - reasonable weather is required for opening hives so we may have to cancel if the forecast is very bad.
